With more and more consumers joining the movement towards using locally grown and sourced floral materials, there has been a shift in not only the flowers, but also the bouquet styles that modern brides are requesting. Certain blooms, such as Dahlias and Carnations, have had a resurgence in popularity in the last few years and become a hot commodity for weddings. At the moment, it’s summer here in Australia and that leads me to this our first, and hopefully not last, trending bouquet of 2014, a brightly coloured modern number by the floral superstars over at Poho.
This is a really great interpretation of a modern bouquet, focused on using classic blooms such as Dahlias and Carnations. It’s mix of hot tropical colours and lovely textures makes for a stunning piece to complete any summer bride’s look.
Poho is a floral studio in Sydney’s Potts Point, who supports local growers and source as much of their materials as possible from Australian growers. If you would like to find out more about Poho, click here.
