I don’t think that we could have “Cool Kids” month without sharing the work of one of our favourite international florists, Flowers by Bornay. Based in Barcelona, Spain, these floral superstars have an innovative fresh design style, use such a wide variety of interesting materials, and are bold with their use of colour, which is definitely a breath of fresh air to the international floral community.
On a personal note, from my time in the floral industry, I have never seen so much coloured floral foam or spray paint used by any other floral studio, but Bornay find a way to make it work and make it interesting, which we all know can be difficult. They are OWNING colour!
Flowers by Bornay – Inspiration, is the very cool blog that lets us see behind the scenes in the Bornay studio. The floral geniuses at Bornay often take time out of their busy schedules to create cool, quirky pieces inspired by pop culture icons, such as my favourite, Creature from the Black Lagoon.
