We are kicking off “cool kids month” with Carine Thevenau. We are hooked on Thevenau‘s latest exhibition, Return to Huldra’s Wood. It’s eerie and beautiful, with epic wearable floral pieces, who wouldn’t be in love, right?
Growing up wanting to be a storyteller and having a keen interest in fairy tales, Thevenau‘s latest exhibition is a visual exploration into Scandinavian Folklore. A Huldra is a mythical character who lives deep in the forests of Sweden and Finland. Also known as Pine tree Mary or Skogsfu (in Norway) this secret woodland dweller lures her prey into the darkness of night and underneath the heavy branches she is known to do unspeakable things. The HH team and I agree, this story has been beautifully recreated and brought to life!
If you have fallen in love with the exhibition as much as we have, and NEED to have a piece in your home or studio, you can get yourself a limited edition print from the exhibition from the print shop, but get in there quick!
